Developed under the guidance of Bruce Cohn, Needham High School launches an experimental Senior to Senior program using Keiser equipment. High School Seniors give one on one strength training sessions to help older adults attain safe, fun and realistic fitness goals.

Bruce Cohn has worked as an educator, coach, and trainer in the fitness-sports-recreation field for over 25 years. His "Getting Fit" column ran in the Boston Globe for over two years, dispensing simple yet effective advice and techniques for exercise, nutrition, and injury prevention.

In 1999, Bruce established FIT-TO-GO Total Conditioning, a consultancy that provides high quality programs for student-athletes and adults seeking to improve their overall fitness. He has also lectured to area parents, coaches, and teams on modern approaches to training and nutrition. Prior to that, Bruce ran his own personal training business, Your Gym Teacher, for the general adult fitness population.

 

Bruce currently teaches Health and Physical Education from a holistic perspective for Needham High School's Wellness Department and is the Strength and Conditioning Coach at the Middlesex School in Concord. He is certified as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and is a Certified Nutrition Specialist.
