I upgraded from a Keiser M3 to the M3i Studio primarily for the expanded gearing, but was also excited for the new display as I do zone training primarily, and this bike computer supports riding by zone natively. Bike came packaged securely, I assembled it myself using the Keiser toolkit, pretty straightforward, and the instructions for assembly were nicely detailed. I've been quite pleased overall, the quality of the build is comparable to the M3 so I see no decline in quality over time. The most significant difference in the build is that the seat post now has a pin mechanism rather than a free-sliding post for additional rider safety. The bike computer is also pretty great- the display is nice, I'm impressed at the number of modes it now supports, and I love that it's pedal-powered so I can place the bike anywhere. On the other hand, The Keiser documentation for using the bike computer along with the M Series app and other supported platforms is nearly non-existent, so initially I had some issues connecting to both the Keiser app and my preferred training app, but Support was able to assist and now it appears to be working consistently. Would be a better user experience if more basic "how to" documentation was available. It's also been great to record power data, which I couldn't do on the M3. The Keiser app is the (relative) weak link here, the data display could be better both while riding and when reviewing a completed ride. For example, at least on iOS, if you're using both the Keiser app and a training app, the Keiser app popup needs to stay in the foreground or the connection to it drops. If you minimize the app window it still takes up approximately 1/3 of the screen real estate, and it can only be moved left or right (not positioned by the user) so during a session I have to move it occasionally to be able to access functionality on my primary app. That being said, I like having my power data on screen in addition to on the bike console, but it would be nice to be able to resize the popup and be able to place it where I want it if I have no choice but to have it running visibly. Hopefully this will be a future app enhancement. Post ride app data includes some graphs but they're compressed to fit a portrait view, there is no landscape view, and the graphs overlap so it's visually kind of messy. You can export data but I haven't yet. (I'd love to sync my Keiser data with my Garmin data but that seems to require third party app integration.) I have barely explored The Ride yet, but the content looks pretty good so look forward to getting more familiar with it. Overall, would highly recommend the Studio Plus, it's a lifetime-quality piece of equipment for a home gym, and I look forward to training with it for years to come.
